Eric Walper

Physiotherapist

Eric was born and raised in Hanna, Alberta. Growing up and playing sports in a rural community it wasn't long before his family outgrew small town life and migrated to Red Deer where he attended and graduated from Hunting Hills High School. Straight from high school he attended Red Deer College where he started his degree in Biological Sciences, finishing with distinction in 2012 from the University of Alberta after specializing on the human immune system.

Shortly thereafter Eric pursued a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta and graduated in 2015. As an advocate for community stewardship and continuing education Eric spends his free time learning from his peers and giving back to his community. Fundamentally Eric continues to study and practice his skills in anatomy and physiology, having recently been a part-time Instructor at Red Deer College in the Health Sciences Department. He has taken training on Traditional and Non-Traditional acupuncture and is comfortable with various forms of dry-needling and is certified and registered with the Alberta Physiotherapy Association to perform joint manipulations.

With equal parts charisma and eternal optimism Eric approaches the challenges that people face with a fresh set of eyes and an open mind. A firm believer in a precise manual therapy based approach he also believes that the uniqueness of each person's symptoms should allow for the flexibility of both passive and active treatments of physical therapy. Never one to stay still in his free time, he can often be found reading, spending time with family and friends and exploring the inexhaustible variety of life. Having grown up in rural Alberta he is enthusiastically looking forward to returning to the way of life in a smaller community setting.
